A majority of one party's elected officials is never good for democracy, and that pertains to all levels of government.

Did you know that John Horgan promised to reinstate the board but then reneged on the promise? That's why there was a byelection. Why do you think that Horgan reneged on his promise? Did you know that in January of 1996 that NDP Education Minister Paul Ramsay fired the North Vancouver School Board? What should a government do, any government, when a school board refuses to comply with the law? Should the government just provide more money to any board that doesn't produce a balanced budget? What do you think? Also, remember this about the trustees that Bernier fired:

An independent investigation also found the former school trustees contributed to a toxic work environment in which staff were bullied and harassed.

And so sad that Mayor Greg lost part of his monopoly. He called it a wake up call lol. Probably more accurate description would be chitting his pants that the Vancouver electorate may have actually woke up and are tired of his socialist policy that has done squat to improve housing and only caused gridlock with bike lanes.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Why was it a mistake to fire these losers? They were bullying everyone else and were contributing to a toxic work environment. Plus they were part of Gregor "Bike Shorts" gang of evil leftists, so no surprise that they were fired for being so horrible. Good on the BC Libs for firing these people, who just sound generally like terrible people.

Apparently those who re-elected them don't agree with the Politicians who fired these people.

One of them is not too smart and only time will tell which one.

That will happen if they once again are unable/unwilling to balance the budget.

I thought the NDP were all about fair, harassment-free workplaces that the unions portray themselves as promoting.

Could it be that the NDP and their union masters don't care about workers' rights at all?

For some NDP'ers on here it would seem that harassment and bullying are okay as long as it's those on the left doing it. The board refused to abide by the law and pass a balanced budget and on top of that an independent report found that they were engaging in bullying and harassment. The OP calls it a "mistake" to fire those who were engaging in bullying and harassment and other NDP'ers agree. Sad.
