Yes, that's why he would ok it. Not because a whole bunch of people who know how to do math are telling him to do it, and because all of the people who are saying to shut it down all are certifiably nuts.

This is a good read, and I believe is what Horgan will say in his announcement early next week, to proceed with Site C.

Re: What will Horgan do with Site C?
Horgan will just bury the site c decision into something that will cast a better light on himself and the NDP. He will go ahead with it, but under the guise of something else that is best for BCers.
Might promise to divert some of the funds to an alternative energy "study group" to come up with something to prove that some other energy source might become more viable at some time in the very near future, or invest in businesses to produce our own solar technologies that will be sold on the international market?????
Who knows what he is going to spin out of this, but he will allow it to proceed.
He is taking the weekend for the study groups to figure out which plan will produce the least number of lawsuits and bad press in the future.

Re: What will Horgan do with Site C?
From the Vaughn Palmer article.....
Won't it be amusing if Palmer is correct on how continuation will be presented, given that the part in bold, is basically the logic the Liberals used to get the project underway in the first place. I mean clean air and climate change are pretty much one and the same.
It's also why the Liberals didn't send it to the BCUC for their blessing.
Oh and just watch if it goes ahead, the NDP will saddle the project with some pricey union conditions, guaranteed to run costs up, and then down the road they'll blame the Liberals for cost overruns, when it's the NDP that has been responsible for current setbacks by preventing highway relocation, and future cost increases if they force union labor which seems to also ring familiar as a 1990's NDP approach.
Putting all these clues together, I expect Premier Horgan to announce early next week that Site C will go ahead, albeit reframed as part of a broader strategy to fight climate change and with a larger role for the unionized building trades in construction.

Its already guarnteed that the fake christian union is out
You going to get what you wished for if john says build it plus im thinking massive investment in solar as this will be last dam built in bc .i also expect the govt to introduce rules to not allow people to be booted off hydro if making under certain amount in a year and subasdies for low income folks to pay for hydro since building the dam will saddle hydro to tune of 30 billion .

The best that Horgan can do now is "damage control".
Continue the project, run up the costs, blame the Liberals, and hope for the best for a second term.

^^^Why are you against unionized trades workers getting a decent salary so they can provide for their families??? Or is it that you feel the 'business interests' represented by the ICBA - Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of British Columbia and the CLAC 'union' (more specifically a contractor 'union' where employees work under unsafe and low wage conditions) 'deserve' to belly up to the trough of ratepayer money??

Duh! They are union workers working there. I looked up the wages and benefits package some time ago, and they are PDG. Your argument is not at all factual.
The exceptions, to that generalization are some of the multitude of "sole source" contracts given to First Nations. Surely you don't want to shut them out too?
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.

The NDP don't need to do anything to rise the costs. They are already running away. 4.5 then 7.5 then 9 now probably 10. Where does it stop.

CLAC is the fake christian union mentioned. It has long been used by corporations who want to make sure another stronger union can not come in.

By one vote, on a technicality, two if you count our speaker and the turncoats... I'm certain that if Horgan does anything other than 'as you where, sir' there will be a revolt in the street.
