Exactly flamming .when even the province which is clearly anti ndp. Writes a article on the corruption of clark and bclibs then you know theres some truth.

What is interesting is urb who claimed to be critical of last govt now ignores the facts and thinks its nothing .that in itself speaks volumes to the hypocrasy on display on castanet by the bclib apologists :smt045

Smear, smear, smear . . . and meanwhile the NDP are as pure as the driven snow.

But the NDP are not pure as the driven snow, which is why British Columbia has actually reached a political crisis.

GB's rant in another thread summed it up beautifully. Though I would tweak it a tiny wee bit to make it less fun, er more diplomatic, Canadian style.

The province wrote the story urb . Not me or flamming. How about addressing the charges in the story instead of deflecting to smear flamming ?

The list will pale in comparison to the NDP when the are voted out again at the end of this first and hopefully only term.

Scandals are being uncovered almost daily by even the MSM, Urbane. How can you still excuse the BC Liberals or any and every possible accusation of wrong-doing ?

Meeting notes for the “afternoon-tea with Hong Kong Investors” say: “This is an informal roundtable discussion with an intimate group of long-standing investors and donors in the Vancouver economy. Many of these investors have real estate holdings in Vancouver worth several billion dollars.”

Leong is a property developer with a net worth estimated at US$3.9 billion, and over 1,000 properties and stores in Hong Kong and Macau, according to the South China Morning Post. Documents say other meeting attendees included Eddie Wang, former chairman of China Minsheng Bank; Andrew Yu, chairman of Yue Hwa Chinese Emporium; and Oscar Chow, executive director of Chevalier Group.

MJ, you've just underscored my point.

What the Liberal supporters here are saying, is that they know scandals abound, but at least the Liberals were socking away a surplus to the tune of 2 billion dollars. Really, hoarded money is better than no money? But at least BC had it.

And now the NDP/Greens have passed legislation to assist themselves to that money to pay for party debts.

BC is in a political crisis like no other and the Liberals can't even get a party front runner together to topple the appointed government.

You have proof the ndp is using tax money to pay for party debt ? what they did do is pass laws so corruption by pay to play is gonzo. Taking money our money from icbc or bchydro to pay for useless dam is the theft .

The only crisis is bclib keep getting exposed as corrupt :smt045

What you fail to realize is that 'money' was 'saved' by restricting funding to health care, education, welfare and the disabled. That 'saved money' went to pay down the provincial debt, thus is NOT available to the present government, ok?

No no no, I realize that fully. Why was access to adult education classes so outlandishly unaffordable?
Why are so many services shut down due to lack of funding?

I get that. But we've seen arguments that "at least BC had billions" and I failed to add what you did.

We are truly at the bottom of the barrel crisis level politically speaking right now.
