The BC Liberals had over a decade and a half to repeal or amend ANY or ALL NDP legislation made in the past.

Like the current NDP government (wisely) chose to scrap The BC Liberals "Advantage BC":

the ONLY date I can find on that piece is:

Why wait until now to flail it about as if nobody would fact check it?

It's nothing more than a "puff piece". Get over it and move on to something more current.

Eby makes the key real world observation in the op article:

"The rising pressures on the Crown corporation are due in large part to increasing costs from climbing numbers of crashes and growing injury payouts and legal costs, Eby said."

This isn't a Liberal problem, it isn't an NDP problem.

The cellphone addicted have added an entire new dimension to the costs of insurance. Did you see the picture of the car with a tablet and a phone taped to the steering wheel?

Politically, the NDP made a big deal out of the necessary rate increases to pay for such idiots. The Liberals, to their discredit, held increases down for political purposes.

The NDP then used "freezing" ICBC rates as a political ploy to mine for votes. In practice the NDP are continuing on with the rate increases precisely as laid out under the previous government. The NDP were fully aware of what was going on, but now are trying to spin "oh look, we found new information that was hidden" to justify the NDP having made a cynical promise that they knew they could not keep.

Yup, the NDP lied mightily right in their platform, and now they are trying further lies to spin their way out of it - when in fact NDP disingenuous political opportunism had a very large role in creating the problem.

Sigh, but the NDP know that their base doesn't read financial statements and do math.
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.
