*removed* Christy Clark was the 'outsider' in the last BCLP leadership race; Dianne Watts id the 'outsider' in this race. History will likely repeat itself.

Well, as I was prohibited from saying yesterday, she's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, so what did the BCLP nominating committee expect?

NDP partisans will say nasty things about whomever is eventually chosen as leader but it must be remembered that NDP partisans are a minority of voters. It's the independent voters that decide elections and I believe potential leaders like Wilkinson and Stone will appeal to those voters. Just watch what happens to Horgan's popularity after his Site C announcement. The future looks bright for the BC Liberals and their new leader.

Not likely, Urb. British Columbians are more savvy than you think. Do you think they aren't aware of the fact that had the BC Libs sent the Site C project to the BCUC before giving BC Hydro the go-ahead we wouldn't be stuck with 'sunk costs'?

That's the crux of the matter. British Columbians know that it's a lose-lose situation for Horgan, because no matter what he decides, those sunk costs are not going away. Rationally thinking British Columbians are not foolish enough to think that Horgan got us into this mess, and they're not going to elect the party that did get us into it any time soon.

British Columbians are savvy enough to have elected the Liberals over the NDP in five straight elections. The NDP has only won three elections in history and they've only won the popular vote twice. The polls don't support what you say about Site C since more people than not want to see the dam completed. The arguments on the Site C thread FOR completing the dam have been convincing for anyone who's interested in facts so no need to discuss Site C here on this thread.

You brought it up. And the only things you have brought to this discussion is your opinion that one of the old BCLP guard will be their new leader, and a little trip down memory lane.....before most of the electorate smartened up.

The only polls that show the pro-Site C voters in the lead is the one on this forum and the other Castanet poll, which is understandable to anyone who has lived in the Okanagan for the past few decades.

I agree. That's why the NDP hasn't won an election since the "fudge-it budget" election of 1996, in which Clark and his group of corrupt NDP scum lied about their balanced budget. It really was too bad that the BC electorate was taken in by Clark and his gang of scum, as if they had lost that election the BC NDP wouldn't have been able to do that disgusting back room deal in 1998 with the BCTF that has cost BC taxpayers untold hundreds of millions of dollars.

Rubbish! Why do you keep making things up? I've provided links to polls which show that more people than not want the project completed. Just because you don't like the poll results is no reason to pretend that the polls don't exist.
