On the first half of this topic, maybe have the occasional thought for the local Westjet and KF Aerospace workers.

Thanks.

So, now when it comes to the second part of this topic:

Maybe give an occasional thought to that small feedlot just southeast of the YLW runway. Does anybody want that kind of ‘real food’ security to be expanding out and taking over the picturesque vineyards, golf courses, and housing developments around there?

Heck, might make that end of town come to look and smell similar to the Ft. McMurray area. :200:

And please, no jokes about Rutland, okay?

Why go part way with the Westjet boycott? C'mon BC complainers, show Trudeau you have gonads and get Alberta where it will have some effect. Boycott their gasoline, oil, diesel, natural gas, propane and jet fuel. Boycott their asphalt for pavement. Who needs roads ad streets when you whiners aren't going to be driving anyway? Hypocrites.

Yeah! Great idea! Solves the feedlot problem that I mentioned by putting them polo ponies at the south end of the runway to good use at herding those cattle out to pasture on them golf courses.

B.C. already gets most of its fuel from WA state anyway. As soon as we reverse the flow of oil from the pipeline that goes from north-east B.C. to Alberta and start shipping it to B.C.'s refineries instead, we no longer need Alberta's fuel.

And where should we build these refineries? How about one in the Okanagan? That should go over well.

This statement is so freaking dense. BC only has the capacity to refine approximately 25% of BC's daily needs. SOOOO DUMB!!! Honestly, who are you trying to convince with these idiotic statements?

Which pipeline is that? How do you reverse the flow of oil from a pipeline that goes between North-East BC and Alberta? This makes no sense. Just a brainless statement.

CF's backyard would be a good starting place.

I think we should.

The NDP cheerleaders already lost the battle against Site C, they're going to lose the battle against the pipeline. A refinery in the OK would give them something to complain about

Well, there used to be one in Kamloops. I don't know why it's not there anymore. Anyway, I'm sure the existing refineries could handle much more than they do at present. Not sure about the one in PG, but the one in Burnaby has been complaining for years that Alberta never sends them enough crude. B.C.'s refineries get bypassed because Alberta only wants to ship dilbit, and it can only be refined in WA state. Electric vehicles are trending in B.C. now, and it won't be long before our need for fossil fuels will diminish to the point where B.C. will be able to sustain itself.

occasional thoughts wrote:While I support the centre-left spectrum of Canadian politics, I'm rather put off by the Alberta premier's boycott of B.C. (read Okanagan) wine. What an unseemly thing to do. Ms. Notley is right up there with D. Trump when it comes to trade bullying and stupidity.

I say, let's boycott the Calgary airline, WestJet, and Alberta's beloved beef Who else can we hurt? That's the level of stupidity of Ms. Notley's initiative.
.

the one point you failed to recognise in your OPINION expressed above is BC Premier is very ignorant self absorbed stupid man

It closed in 1983.

Anyway, I'm sure the existing refineries could handle much more than they do at present.

LOL. You're "sure" are you? Yes, because one thing you've proven to everyone here, we can believe what you say, be it about Site C farmland or oil refineries in BC. You never lie to sell a diseased, backward and cowardly narrative!

Not sure about the one in PG, but the one in Burnaby has been complaining for years that Alberta never sends them enough crude.

Link? Maybe they'd get enough if a certain unelected government in BC wouldn't stand in the way of pipelines being built, purely to appease a tiny minority of incredibly stupid people.

B.C.'s refineries get bypassed because Alberta only wants to ship dilbit, and it can only be refined in WA state.

Link? And not to some whacko website written by propagandists funded by US economic interests. Actual, real, factual.

Electric vehicles are trending in B.C. now, and it won't be long before our need for fossil fuels will diminish to the point where B.C. will be able to sustain itself.

LOL - this made me laugh. You want so badly for everyone to drive an electric car (maybe not such a stupid goal, especially compared to all of the other insane things you write) and yet you firmly stood in opposition of Site C. The hypocrisy of lunatic fringe of enviro-nuts will never cease to amaze.
