Is it okay with you to send that oil down a pipeline?

How would you ship it? Just curious.

IF you got all the rich wives that protest from starbucks and lined them up across the provinces as a bucket brigade they could ensure each bucket never spilled a drop. However they would have to get out of their spouses large homes and lift a finger other than to make noise but if the really actually love the environment they would do it themselves?

Facetious of course, however we both are aware these aren't people who are fans of working in any way, but sure like preaching.

*puts up hand*

Can I be a rich wife? Is this like, a job description?

Oh and I'm boycotting both flying and beef right now, not due to any ideological reasons though, I go back to work tomorrow and have you SEEN the cost of Alberta beef? OMIGOD!
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Yes. It's crude oil, not bitumen.

LOL - ok so if KM was a "crude oil" pipeline, would you *removed* be in favor of it being built? Just curious.

Actually, I'm glad you brought that up. Perhaps we can settle this once and for all. I don't believe we should be exporting diluted bitumen. I believe Alberta should be making the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy sources, drilling for oil the conventional way, and selling it domestically. B.C. has its own source of fossil fuels, and as long as it is done SAFELY, it should be shipped to B.C. refineries to be processed and sold in B.C.

Please explain how you, personally, would deem it "safe".

ETA: Please also explain how you would make up for the economic impacts of shutting down the oil sands.

occasional thoughts wrote:While I support the centre-left spectrum of Canadian politics, I'm rather put off by the Alberta premier's boycott of B.C. (read Okanagan) wine. What an unseemly thing to do. Ms. Notley is right up there with D. Trump when it comes to trade bullying and stupidity.

I say, let's boycott the Calgary airline, WestJet, and Alberta's beloved beef Who else can we hurt? That's the level of stupidity of Ms. Notley's initiative.
.

At least the Winefest is still having BC wines:

Ten days after Alberta Premier Rachel Notley introduced an immediate halt on the import of British Columbia wine, Winefest has announced there will still be B.C. wines at the popular event.

The fate of the the eight B.C. wineries signed up to attend the festival had been up in the air as organizers emailed ticketholders to ask whether they would still like to taste B.C. wines.
