Re: toxic soup
Sheesh - I had dead fish between my legs when I was swimming in Lake Ontario. I'm not dead yet.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

Child's plastic toy left on beach - toxic metals
How about the ocean scientists publicly shame the City of Victoria over their continued dumping of raw sewage into the ocean. The sewage is far more harmful than a plastic toy degrading on a beach. Sure, toxic materials from degrading plastics is an issue but using the example of a plastic toy on a beach is a bit of a stretch compared to whatever residents of Victoria spew into the ocean 24/7 365 days a year.

Re: toxic soup
the salt chuck will eat up the sewage its still not right tho, what should be more concerning than kids toys found on the beach is the continuing melt down of the Fukishima reactor that's hasn't just gone away its still happening
