Only 545 people live alone the Stikine Drainage Basin!

Post by Glacier »

The Stikine River is one of the largest in the province. The drainage basin is 52,000 square kilometres. That's 6.5 times LARGER than the Okanagan drainage basin!

And yet, less than 600 people live there. Telegraph Creek is one place with about 250 people, and the other is Iskut, a native community along the Iskut river (a tributary of the Stikine) with a population of just 295.

This is the by far the least populated major drainage basin the province.
