Are the Liberals insane, or simply two faced?
At the same time as the Liberals are proposing using taxpayer dollars to make sure the KM pipeline gets built, they are also using taxpayer dollars to fund the hiring of summer students to work full time developing ways to stop the pipeline being built.

If this doesn't stop folks from voting Liberal in the next election, I don't know what will.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday there’s no problem with a Canada Summer Jobs grant that will fund anti-pipeline activism, arguing his government must stand up for the principle of free expression and advocacy.
That may surprise the religious organizations who have been battling the government for months over the same summer jobs grants, thanks to a new clause that requires them to attest their “core mandate” respects reproductive rights, defined as the right to access abortions.

I’d say the Liberals are insane...
This might also be proof that there are indeed paid protesters..

When the Cons funded the Dogwoods, they really were concerned with nature and salmon and trees and bears and Orcas. When Soros and his fascist filthy rich friends discovered that airhead treehuggers like Tides Canada and what is now DogwoodBC could be hired, bought, bribed and financed to affect Canadian politics by morphing quietly into professional protesters and enviro-fascists, the Conservatives dumped them.
The Dogwoodies bragged about their influence in a lot of ridings with their advertising and support for the Federal Liberals. They realized, together with radical Islamists, that the Liberals were easy to control and manipulate. This whole WeaverHorgan *bleep* show is all about American profits and control. Interfering with Canada's sale of resources to foreign countries forces Canada sell to one customer, America. That lets American companies to pay whatever price they choose, that being just enough to keep Canadian resource companies alive. Americans buy Canadian oil at a horrible discount, refine it and sell it offshore. They also pull some off the existing KM line, refine some and sell it back to stupid BC at a huge profit. Almost 50% of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel consumed in BC comes from Washington using Canadian oil. No wonder the cost of living in BC is so friggin expensive. Courtesy of the professional fascist enviro-zealots. Could it be that the WeaverHorgan twins are simply hired useful idiots being manipulated?

Ya had Harper in power for a decade. With a massive majority for his second term. How much pipe did Steve lay? And ya had the Campbell/Christie Social Credit/Reform/Liberals in power in BC at the same time, How much pipe did they put in the ground? ZERO. But Conservatives sure complain about Justin.
No pipe in the ground yet, but leftist Justin and leftist Rachel are pushing harder for the pipeline than Steverino or Christie ever did. Here's a suggestion: take out a membership in the Federal Liberals.

The Liberals in Ottawa are acting like schoolchildren, as usual. And the BC NDP knew that the Treaty 8 First Nations had been fighting with BC Hydro over this for years. Why did Horgan not stop construction of the dam until these court battles were settled when he took over the reins of government? Now we, the B.C. tax and rate payers, will be saddled with millions more of BC Hydro's debt thanks to the bungling and in-fighting of our provincial and federal governments.

And for those of you who tend to discredit any online news site other than the MSM, here's the same story on CBC.

If the Federal Liberals truly believe that Site C is a good project (a position they appear to have held thus far) then abandoning it in an attempt to play "*bleep* for tat" with the NDP Government is indeed a childish game (and a very expensive one for the taxpayers of BC). The Libs should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't see what drilling for oil off the Nova Scotia coast has anything to do with the topic. As for "Be sure to scroll down to the part that quotes Catherine McKenna"........why don't you copy and paste the comment you are referring to?

Re: Are the Liberals insane, or simply two faced?
The governments should not care what summer students do for work. They should not play politics at all. In that way, they will fund things they don't agree with, and that's a good thing. You don't want the politicians picking who gets funding based upon their own political agenda. That's a very dangerous road to walk down.
The Liberals might be insane and two faced, but on this issue, I think they're in the right.
