Dam the Red River... HUH?

Dam the Red River... HUH?

Postby Glacier » Nov 14th, 2017, 12:22 pm

Okay, so I see this letter on Castanet, and I cannot make sense of it. Is she being serious? Does she really think the Red River flows south? Or is she being satirical? Is she pro-Trump or anti-Trump? Or is she pretending to be anti-Trump to make anti-Trump people look stupid?

Can someone give me an English translation for this letter?

Let us not forget that Trump has scared all non Caucasians into Canada because he does not like or trust them. The appeals with take years and trillions of Canadian dollars to deal with, money he will not speak about, because he won't pay for. Go Trump Go.

This made my day. Let's not forget that something never happened.

So, she wants to dam all the rivers running south? Where does she think they'll put all that backed up water? Not a clue this one.

I've seen that name before... and I don't think it was in relation to anything overly sensible then, either.

A quick search of Castanet's site reveals she's a prolific 'Letters' contributor.

The Red River runs north. Into Lake Winnipeg and then finally out to Hudson Bay.

Trump has forced to Trudea to go to Vietnam and elsewhere to negotiate trade.

Forced??? Incorrect. The APEC meeting and other summits/meetings (G-summits, UN summits, NATO etc) are annual events attended by member countries. Trudeau (or another representative of Canada) would have attended whether Trump was there or not. Is she trying to make some kind of point or just horribly misinformed?

I'm very confused at what the purpose of this letter is exactly.

Not as confused as she is.
