You should have stayed home........... Our Canada

Post by wthwyt »

Just watched this and it disgusted me to see what was aloud to happen. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/

Inaction ware action should have happen and action were action was maybe not necessary.

Politicians in this country need to make all Police forces accountable for their action, not that they will.

I've often wondered about the masked thugs who start this type of violence. Given the fact that they're always well prepared (i.e. carrying masks and weapons) it appears they attend such demonstrations for the sole purpose of instigating chaos.

One theory is that they are "plants", put there by those who wish to discredit the protestors' message and, while in the begining I used to discount such theories, after carefully watching the actions of these thugs on this video I'm starting to wonder if the "plant" theory is correct. And if so, it's a very sad day for democracy. A very sad day indeed.

After watch this program those responsible for the decision to beat peaceful demonstrators at Queen's park, but to do nothing to stop those who were wearing black hoods and vandalize even thou the police were within striking distance. Needs to remove themselves from the Police force along with the officers who actually did the beating.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

One of the reasons that the police didn't respond to those wearing black hoods is because many of them are police members. They dress as Black Bloc causing chaos and thats why you will have a tough time finding any video of them ever being arrested.
There is a thread on this already proving that the police dress as Black Bloc.

Our government has been caught using agent provocateurs several times at this point (so, yes, of course they are) and it's also no surprise that stuff that plays well in the media is staged.

What happened with the police cars is pretty clear. Humberto da Silva from Sindicalista TV notes, "It strikes me that these two cruisers were abandoned exactly where the anarchist kids were headed. There was no threat to the police, and that the riot police were actually present to escort the drivers out of the area when the vehicles were abandoned."

In the end, the police only fostered the growth of increasing distrust and cynicism of the police. Every single one of the people they interacted with, kettled, arrested, threatened, harassed has been radicalized and polarized against them. Every single one of those people are far less likely to report crimes, cooperate with the police in investigations and generally make the jobs of police all that much harder. Every single one of us who watched the situation (well, except for the boot lickers who think the police can do no wrong) also feel similarly disenfranchised.

It'd also be a really nice thing if the blue line of police corruption and the legal system didn't protect bad cops, but it does. Look at the Tavares case - he gets kicked in the face by a bad cop and ranks close immediately. Fraudulent charges filed, lies of spousal abuse and the rcmp generally doing what they could to make him into an *bleep* in the court of public opinion. They defend their own until we threaten to have a thousand people on Doyle. And during the whole time, the legal system only attacks the victim.

But of course, nothing will change from this report, our MPs and political parties are worthless or powerless and the public is apathetic and a lot of us feel like it will never happen to us. But we're seeing increasing militarization of the police at every single protest. Every single time, they get worse and worse.
