I totally disagree with splitting the country in half. I know it seems like it would be nice and even at times that Quebec and the east do not contribute a lot. They are however what makes Canada the great country it is. I do believe Quebec has to come into the real world and realize they are just another province and should have no special treatment. They should contribute and benefit on the same basis as the rest of Canada.

Correct me if I am wrong, didn't this issue come up many years ago and Canada finally said to Quebec, separate! and it was the Quebecers that, in the end didn't want to?!

Its a dead issue in QC. They had their chance in 1995, and the idea has been slipping away ever since. It would actually be detrimental if QC split off for the rest of us, believe me.

I wish they would seperate.They operate as a seperate identity for the most part anyhow.Only province in canada that requires french only business signs among other things.They do not use the canada pention system as they go there own way.They receive way way more federal tax money than the residents pay in Federal tax.They get more government grant
money etc etc.They are the most racest group of people in Canada.
