I found that in THailand, they introduced transgender washrooms in some school:

"More than 200 of the school’s 2,600 students consider themselves transgender."

Nor would I. When I say a gender-neutral washroom I just mean a single occupant washroom not designated to either sex.
There are only two genders. Male and female. Why would a transgender person care if it is gender-neutral, when it's a SINGLE OCCUPANT washroom?
Look, this can go back and forth until the cows come home. I really don't have a lot of answers, but I do understand and accept many of the points these people are trying to raise. At the institution that I attend there is only one single occupancy washroom I have come across and it is specifically designated for people with physical disabilities and I am pretty sure it requires a key.
Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.
