First person in the thread to spell it right - thanks. I agree with your post, too.
Pretty much the rest of the thread is little more than an opportunity for the childish bigots to jump on the "insult the French" bandwagon.

~ Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is intriguing, but what they hide is crucial.
~ Left vs. Right = 2 dimensions. I myself live in a multidimensional world. Have fun with that.

Pretty much, I would also suspect if this interim coach was more in win column than loss.
Montreal fans maybe would not have to much of a problem with it. I have heard a name being batted around as possible full time head coach former goalie. :smt102

If it's Ken Dryden, we know he speaks French. As for spelling on Castanet - I gave up a long time ago worrying about that.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Hey they have absolutely no respect for english speaking Canadians and take every opportunity to blame us for everything. They are a racist group that disrespects anything non-french and they do it publicly, which would be illegal anywhere else in Canada. They have undertaken many many referendums to try leave Canada. Why wouldn't we insult the french???
I have zero respect for Quebec and I will never set foot in that land.
We should teach our children real French that the world speaks and not the pig latin we speak here and cant use anywhere else. IMO

gee what nice blinders you have.
...
You know, considering he is an interim coach, Cunneyworth really has it good. No pressure at all. Great environment for a new coach to start out with. (Guess they really threw the wrench into that plan...)

LOL that's funny.
The only difference between Québec's French and France's French.. is the accent. And Québec's French is actually more French than France's French, which sadly convert English words in French language to look "à la mode". Examples:
Parking, Fiouler etc... instead of stationner, faire le plein
Like if Canadian English was not real English compared to England's English. You can't.. but they cun't.
Think about it.

Re: Montreal Canadiens
So … These 3 guys go fishing together, one is from QC, one from AB and the other from BC … and this bottle happens to float by their boat and they pick it up and a Genie pops out. Usually Genies grant 3 wishes to one person, but since there was 3 of them the Genie said, “Ok, one wish each”. The guy from QC can hardly contain himself and blurts out that he wants Quebec to separate from Canada and become and independent country … Poof, “Done” said the Genie. The guy from Quebec was grinning from ear to ear and told the other guys how happy he was to finally be recognized as a distinct nation. So the guy from BC thinks he’s pretty smart and asks the Genie to put a 25’ tall wall that is 5’ thick all around this new country of Quebec, so nothing can get in or our, Poof, “Done” said the Genie. Now the guy from AB says to the Genie, “Really, any wish, anything I want?”. “Sure thing” says the Genie, “No problem at all” … “Great” says the guy from AB, “Then fill the whole thing full of f-n water!”. :dyinglaughing:
I know, I know, :offtopic: .

Had a friend from Paris once. Told me they couldnt stand listening to Quebec French, said half of what they say made no sense in translation between the two.

My friend from Grenoble told me that they have to run Quebecois TV shows with sub-titles as no one in France can understand them.

To All tatooed
It makes me laugh everytime someone mention that French from Québec is different than France.
After 500 years they expect French Canadians to speak the same as France.
Even England doesn't speak the same as 500 years ago ( Shakespeare era ) for goodness sake.
Too funny !!
