These guys traveled to Syria of their own free will. Funny but I have no sympathy for them and their inability to forsee that something bad might happen. Just looking for free money from Canada when the country of their birth tortures them. I wonder how their suit against the Syrian Gov't is going?

Seems we [Canada] hand out Canadian citizenship too damned easily. The price we pay for bringing all of these "Canadian Citizens" [who have lived in their countries of birth for years] until the S#&t hits the fan is astronomical. These Canadian citizens... do they pay any substantial income tax to Canada when they are permanently living abroad in their homelands? I doubt it. But they have no trouble asking the rest of us to ante up and pay to haul their sorry *bleep* back to Canada when things turn sour. That whole scenario makes me a tad unhappy.
