Suzuki quits Foundation due to transparency demands

Postby Drongoman » Apr 16th, 2012, 2:30 pm

So David Suzuki is asked to be more transparent, and quits. What a giant baby that guy is. Yes David, people are tired of your crying and whining, and out right lying, while getting to hand out donation slips to pay for it. Enough is enough. And of course, like all left-wing radical fools, he can't just tell the truth and say that he is quitting because he is scared of having to be transparent, instead he blames the catch-all "bullying". This word is getting so over-used by the radical left that it has lost all meaning. Anytime anybody asks anyone for anything, if it is from a radical leftist, it is "bullying". What a joke.

Suzuki quit foundation over fed 'bullying'

OTTAWA - Environmental activist David Suzuki says he quit the foundation he founded over government "bullying" and questions raised by Sun News Network.

The biologist and former TV host stepped down from the board of directors of the David Suzuki Foundation, telling donors in a letter it was because of "bullying" from the federal government.

Suzuki also said questions raised by Sun News Network was behind his resignation last summer.

"Sun News and others have come after me, saying 'lookit what Suzuki Foundation is doing, they are very political, they shouldn't be a charity,' and I realized that the proudest creation of my life, the David Suzuki Foundation, was being hampered in doing their work by me. I had become a liability," Suzuki told CTV. "I am not going to shut up just because of the rules about charities."

Suzuki says he will remain a volunteer for the foundation he created decades ago, but will not help govern it. He says he has always been an activist and an advocate.

"As an elder, testosterone levels are dropping so people know that I am not after more sex or more power or more money or more fame I am just an old man, but I have had a life of experience," Suzuki said.

But here's the part that bugs me the most from this story:

The geneticist was recently beamed into public schools across Canada via the National Film Board, and opined on everything from climate change to whether or not corporations should be allowed to donate money to political parties. When speaking to the assembled teenagers, he also compared the Occupy Movement to the Arab Spring.

Why is a government-funded organization paying to have this clown speak to our kids and indoctrinate them in radical leftist nuttery? No wonder our kids end up smoking drugs in tents camped illegally on public property, if fools like David Suzuki are being shown to them as "truth" paid for by our government. What a complete joke. If they are going to beam in Suzuki, they should also pay to beam in someone from the radical right, just so they have a balance. I can already see Ezra Levant come on right after Suzuki and just say "ok kids - you know all of that stuff you just heard about man-made climate change and the losers from the Occupy Movement being on par with the Arab Spring? It was a giant pack of lies. Don't believe a word that crazy old man just said". That would be government money well spent, for a change.

He's raped the people for years with his envirofreek crap. It wouldn't surprise me if he got royalties off the damn Carbon Tax and from that other idiot, Gore's carbon credit trading foolery. These two guys have cost private folks and private enterprise a bundle - millions upon millions of dollars.

This kind of stuff is what the school system is feeding our kids - and no balance provided. No wonder the world is such a stupid mess of entitled me first twits who think the only good government is a nanny-state one.

If "Canadian" companies can have foreign investors or even be majority owned by foreigners who are petitioning to have a project approved - why can't Canadian citizens invite foreign expertise to invest in their civil cause?

They absolutely can…BUT doing it through the auspices of “charity” and collecting a tax receipt is a fraud. Suzuki simply does not want to get caught and that is the real reason why he bailed out. The CBC also refuses to disclose what they pay to Suzuki or even what how much his expense allowance is or how he blows our tax dollars at his pleasure. There is zero transparency with this clown and yet he calls everyone else out. Pathetic.

Al C hit the nail right on the head. We also need to get our school boards to stop giving this man a platform from which to spread his dreadful material. I accept that he is the hero the CBC created but, it's nice to watch him snivel and cry.

Jealous ? On the contrary, I am a big fan of success and those like Jimmy Pattison who come by it honestly. What I am opposed to is those who find success through fraudulent means. Suzuki literally wrote the book on EcoFraud and has been cashing in on his do as I say not as I do lifestyle for years not to mention wining and dining on some CBC tax dollars as well. As I said earlier, it is pathetic.

The Environment feeds the Economy without which, none of us exist. Cannot eat money (at least not without some catsup on it first). Chief Seattle had sage thoughts on this matter, "We do not inherit this world from our ancestors but rather we borrow it from our children." Take care of our Environment and it will take care of us.

And another thing!

OMG David Suzuki is NOT perfect. I do not know all the wherewithal of this current Foundation transparency crisis. That being said, however, I can recall a lot of capitalists who have disgraced our great Capitalistic system but do I hear said capitalists decrying the system is foul and therefore redundant - No. They just chug along. So something happened with this man in his chosen profession and the seemingly capitalists whine that the whole notion of environmentalism is therefore misguided and should be left behind. Hypocrisy at its finest. People are human and screw up. And hopefully than, Lessons are Learned.
