My condoleances are going to the passenger's family.

And to add to the insult, with our no fault system, we'll pay thousands of $$$ in hospital & recovery expences & lost wages, probably for a lifetime to the driver. If the driver passes away because of the accident (he's standing between life & death at the hospital right now), there's another lump sum that will be paid out to his family, even if it's proven he was drunk/impared/speeding or whatever. That's how it works in Quebec. Do whatever you want, you're NEVER liable for anything you do.

If he recovers, then the governement can put criminal charges agains't him, like example drunk driving & murder, provide couple months shelter in prison, no money can be involved, and the passenger's family has no right to sue the driver at all.

Crazy heh?

I bet the driver had a mullet.

The real tragedy would be if the Van Halen 8-track tape got destroyed during the crash.

Maybe some won't like my question, but, in regards to the fact that the driver was drunk, and speeding before crashing:

How does his passing makes you react?

Please share your thoughts.

Just sad...I can't lie and say I've never driven drunk. From when I was 16 until I had my 1st child at 26, drinking and driving was pretty much every weekend for me, and most all my buddies. I thank my lucky stars I did not kill, maim, or injure anybody. When you are young, you feel invincible....add a dozen beers and a sports car to the mix, and you have a perfect recipe for disaster. So sorry for the loss of these young lives. As for the driver, I would not want to be in his shoes (if he lives). A lifetime of the thought that my stupidity caused the death of another would be punishment enough. Was the driver underage? If so, the person who bought the 24 of Bud should be charged. My condolences to the families....
