What an idiot this pedestrian is. He's lucky the bus could stop.

What is wrong with some members of society

In what logical place, does a pedestrian think he has the right to first off jaywalk in front of a vehicle and then second act like he did by not moving and physically holding onto the front of the bus

If anyone should be charged it should be him

Since the incident happened in front of the University, maybe the pedestrian is studying to become a lawyer ( sure dressed like one ) and was just practicing his rights ( or wrongs ). See you in court ! :spinball:

But come on how many "f" bombs does this driver need to drop? There should be some expectation of professionalism. Yeah the pedestrian was an idiot, but it almost seemed like he wasn't all there...he just stood there without expression. It was kind of weird and who knows, maybe it was a pathetic suicide attempt?

Why do people do that sort of thing now? I say just the all about me syndrome. That we see here every day you drive!!

Wish I had the answer on how to change it?

Just wonder how the company expected the bus driver to handle this incident (he was trained after all).

Maybe he should have just gotten confused as to which pedal to use. :127:

Yup, he would have been suspended either way.

Posting the article because the link took me to a more current story:

A Saskatoon bus driver has been suspended with pay after he swore at a person who wouldn't move out of his way.

It happened Thursday when a man jay-walked in front of a moving bus in the campus terminal.

In the video, the driver yells profanities at the man, who refuses to budge, and the driver asks bystanders if they want to drag the man out of the way.

Saskatoon transit manager Bob Howe says bus drivers have training to help them deal with difficult people, and Thursday's incident is rare.
The pedestrian has lodged a complaint with police.

Since both men were in the wrong and the pedestrian has started a file where he admits jaywalking he should be fined as well. It's only fair.

That's what I was thinking. He maybe also was hoping for a little bump so he could play the roulette board with SGI for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. I did note the thick fellow had some words and more!!

Hope hte bus driver doesn't get in too deep!
