So its becoming very apparent that natives are not really into helping there own or a neighbor in need(One reserve to another)
If I made $250000 tax free a yr and preached the talk, I would take $150000 a yr of my own income and fix every house's roof on my reserve. Teach my people how to repair homes and maybe make a business out of it.
All those beautiful pick ups driving around this reserve would be sold for cheaper ones and money used for maybe a better septic or water system.
Not buying it...........

A question for you,
"With all the beautiful nice new buildings built on the WFN land, must be hundreds of them, Is there a homeless shelter for all their homeless kind that are having to live on the streets of Kelowna???"
I saw a native homeless man wheeling around his wheel chair in traffic on Harvey last week. Why would he not be in a comfortable shelter between all the massive development on the wfn???????
The taxes alone that the chief saves would pay for a place for individuals like him.

In that ladt Castanet news story her own people are telling her to quit, she has done her thing and its time to quit.

One said she has made Canadians aware,,, aware of what? She doesnt like food no more? She certainly is doing better then I would be at this point, tried a fasting diet for a few days once as a cleanse,,, nearly killed me! Dont try those fastings people, its harsh on your organs and your brain not to feed them, make ya go dizzy, she has gone a month, so they say and she dont look worse then she should after a week of no solids so there is some kinda trick going on me thinks. besides I thought a fasting threat meant nothing. Now its changed to add water and other liquids, ha,,,

She has made us aware of what? Indians want more? And yet other bands are coming in on this event saying they want other stuff, using her hunger strike for other gains? At this point I dont care now if she quits or not, she can go as long as she wants and its time we look away from hunger strikes, they are for making someone else feel guilty and its getting old. Eat or dont but quit trying to use your desire to go on a diet to guilt others.

I'm confused on one issue. Why did Spence refuse the meeting?

Likely because her people had the smarts to google "hunger striker" and took note that chubby cheeks Theresa hardly makes for a believable candidate amongst all the legitimate ones.

If anything she's dishonoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice where hunger striking is concerned.

FYI Theresa this is what a hunger striker looks like....

You might have to live on a northern reserve to get that $40,000 - in substandard housing full of mold and maybe a backed-up septic system.

However, you have enough money to, and this is from the link you provided us Granny, play Bingo daily and spend (waste) enough money gambling that you donated over $80,000 to buy a new Zamboni. But I see that you (they) have your priorities right.

She's definitely succeeded in that regard. Were it not for this farce, I'd likely not have bothered to read up a bit, so now I have been made aware, aware of what a lying, cheating, self serving individual she is, yet still has the stones to point fingers at others. Quite a piece of work this Chief.

Forget the teepee and give her the presidential suite at the crowbar hotel.

Whe WFN was talking about setting up a privare medical center on the Westside, I did not hear one word about a free clinic for their own people, just plans to gouge people with money.

Let them go back to their traditional ways, living in teepees, travelling in birch bark canoes, living on pemmican, chewing willow bark to alleviate their tooth pain.
If/when they dont want to live like that any longer, they can assimilate themselves into mainstream society with the same rights as the rest of us.

Maybe cos they dont need it since their medical care is free on the Canadian bill already??? If so then why bother setting one up on their own bill? That place is for making Munnnny! :dyinglaughing:

That might work out better for them because under the Indian Act and some of the treaties, they don't have those.

It wasn't a Zamboni.

And those weren't MY priorities.
