Re: Senator Mike Duffy uncooperative with auditors
Now the PM says that he fired Nigel Wright, and that he didn't resign.
In order to look more believable the PM is telling Canadians that he lied. Again.

Theresa Spence was uncooperative with auditors. Why isn't that a problem for some on this board?

I wouldn't believe anything he said. Get rid of the lot of them.
Like to see someone from Harper's office cover my expenses. They are legit as well. I NEEDED those boots. For the people and all.

Re: Senator Mike Duffy uncooperative with auditors
Now there was 2 cheques- one for 90,000, and another for Duffy's legal fee's 13,500.
Looks like the PM did know what was going on and it looks like the PMO"s office paid for a lawyer for one of their cronies that broke the law. The CPC would have rather it didn't get RCMP attention or the public's - so they tried to re-frame it as "spending mistake" and re-pay everything before any charges could be laid. Too bad that interfering with justice.
Duffy broke the law outright, and the PMO's office tried to cover it up, outright. The PM stuck his neck out to protect his parties image and in doing so brought criminality into this countries highest office.
They could have let Duffy fry, but that would make the Conservatives look bad because they appointed him and he was campaigning for them (while he charged travel expenses to Senate accounts to do so). Instead they tried to pull a Watergate.
Now Harper is sporting a Nixon nose.

Oh come on now, that's hardly fair...
Nixon held regular news conferences and passed environmental protection legislation.

Wow, what a day!
I hope that people know when they give money to the Conservatives, it's going to pay Mike Duffy's (and the lot) legal fee's and to buy burner phones for Pierre Pountine!

Re: Senator Mike Duffy uncooperative with auditors
Mike Duffy and the other two should be suspended immediately. But they should also be given their due process immediately as well. In the meantime, the whole system for senators and mp's should be adjusted for clarity and accountability. This may mean these three slip through the cracks but their lesson should at least result in a change to how these gov't officials submit and are reimbursed for expenses. At the end of the day, it is a few hundred grand for these 3 and maybe several million for the rest. But in the grand scheme of things, that is a drop in the bucket. I am more upset about how the helicopter deal is costing hundreds of millions, the coast guard and navy ships are costing, the new fighter planes, the first nation portfolio is grossly mismanaged by gov't and FN. There are bigger fish to fry and sort out than these 3 cheaters.

The RCMP is investigating the PMO's office...
