I was just looking on CBC's website and there was a story and picture of Mr Ford side by side a story and picture about the Pig virus...kind of appropriate?

So the mayors boy's were roaming around the ghetto making death threats and threatening to use the Toronto police department as a personal tool to solve the mayors PR issues.

"...but taxes are low".

Good thing this Conservative mind-think is starting to crumble. Money is not all that matters.

thinking about before somebody came along and told
them they had to earn a living.

Quote:
I’m f-----g right wing,” Ford mutters at one point. “Everyone expects me to be right-wing, I’m…” and his voice trails off.

At another point he is heard calling Trudeau a “*bleep*.” Later in the 90 second video he is asked about the football team and he appears to say (though he is mumbling, “they are just f-----g minorities.”

one thing all the ford haters get wrong in commen is they disallow all his good and solely reflect on his misgivings
The thing is all his good has done nothing but good for the city and the job he was elected to do and all his misgivings are solely a personal nature and has caused no determent to the city itself

One thing all Ford backers get wrong in common is they ignore anything he does wrong and blindly assume all his policies have done good, when in fact he himself has done little good, and perhaps even harm to Toronto. (most of his fiscal claims are due to previous administrations or provincial/national forces, exaggerated, or very misleading)

See, I can play that game, too!

Based on the latest antics of Rob Ford, I cannot believe ANYONE in their right mind could vote (or even support him) for Mayor (or ANY public office) any more. He is done like last years' Christmas turkey and that's the way it should be.

There was a time when I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt, but not any more. Funny, I don't even feel sorry for him any more, nor even wish him well for that matter (What I really wish for him I wouldn't even put in print). All this blather about him "getting the help he needs" and "he isn't well" may seem gracious on the part of the people suggesting it, but it's all just insincere and politics. He is left with no redeeming qualities at all either as a politician or a person.

Yup. I started to feel that way a while back.
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have of changing others.

I think what drove the positive feelings for him by so many is that he seemed a welcome change from your Standard Issue Politician. And god knows he WAS a change from it, but . . . not a good change.

I feel this is just another stunt, trying to remove himself from the bobblehead clown he's been known to be by Canadians and be a more relatable human. His brother was doing the poor me,poor Rob,poor family ,boohoo we need your support act.
He's been like this for a long time and the election is a lifetime away.

Yes. I too have an unsettled feeling that there's still a remote chance this is yet another trick, and that he will suddenly re-appear before the election presented as "a changed and totally cured man" ready to go back to work, and that the Toronto electorate will give him the Mayor's Office back.

And pigs will suddenly fly too......

Edit to add: Apparently the Prime Minister (or his office) are poised to comment on these latest developments. It will be interesting to see what tack they take.

Edit further: Apparently they view the situation as "disturbing". I'm not really surprised at such a wishy washy reaction from them...

Depending on your political persuasion, Rob Ford is either bullying once or again, or being bullied for taking the unpopular position.

Best quote ever describing the Ford brothers.

"Relax. This isn’t another RoFo or DoFo rant, though the Brothers Dumb & Dumber do make it difficult to go even a day without commenting on their joined-at-the-pinhead lunacy. Rubbed together, their IQ still wouldn’t hit the century mark."
