80 y/o pedal confused injured 3 children in daycare

Just before 2 p.m., three 3-year-olds ended up under the car when it crashed through the daycare. It had been driven over a curb and through the plate glass window fronting the daycare, shattering the whole pane. None of the children suffered life-threatening injuries.

The 80-year-old Laval woman who apparently drove the car through the glass was taken to Sacré Coeur Hospital. She did not suffer serious injuries. Police officers were waiting to speak to her Tuesday night to get details about the accident.

Police suspect the woman may have accidentally pressed on the car's accelerator instead of its brake pedal.
