Are you as angry when police use other medicine? Is the problem he's smoking something, that he's a native or that you don't like marijuana?

I don't think he should smoke MaryJ on the job.I don't dislike or like MaryJ but there is a time and place and the place certainly is not at work while being a police officer and the only reason he gets away with this is because hes First Nations
they get treated with kid gloves all the time

if its as harmfull as MaryJ yes of course I am.If you or I smoke MaryJ and get stopped by the same cop we would be possible charged with DUI or illeagle possession even though he has MaryJ on his own person and has just smoked a joint
its ridiculous and I doubt this would happen.its just a example

Yeah, that's who I want looking after me in a life-and-death situation, some guy who is lit up on 15 joints.

Mountie wants to smoke pot on job

An advocate of medical cannabis says the case of a New Brunswick Mountie who's reportedly been told he cannot smoke the drug while in uniform underscores the need for employers to better understand medicinal marijuana.

Adam Greenblatt, president of the Canadian Association of Medical Cannabis Dispensaries, says the RCMP should ultimately allow Cpl. Ron Francis to smoke in uniform providing he is not impaired while on the job.

The CBC reported that Francis told the network there's no policy in the RCMP that prevents him from smoking his doctor-prescribed, medical-grade marijuana in public or while wearing his red serge or regular uniform.

The CBC said Francis is assigned to administrative duties and was prescribed three grams of marijuana a day this month to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, though the Mountie doesn't smoke that amount and does not believe the drug has negatively impacted his ability to be a police officer.

RCMP deputy commissioner Gilles Moreau told the CBC that Francis should not take his medication while in uniform.

Neither Francis nor Moreau could be reached for comment.

Greenblatt says Francis could always take his marijuana in more discreet ways, such as baking it into a cookie or using a vaporizer.

Someone who didn't read the article wrote:

His prescription allows for three grams a day, which he estimates to be nine to 15 joints, though he said he doesn’t typically smoke that much.

“I get up in the morning, have my coffee and the marijuana. I go at lunchtime, have a marijuana joint, and then again in the evening. That would be my medical regime. But that may change with my tolerance to THC. It may take two joints in the morning, I don't know," said Francis.

"I'm just building up my immunity to THC levels, if I was to smoke two I'd probably get stoned to the point that I'm just totally relaxed. I'm still functional. But your nervous system is relaxed, and that makes a big difference," he said.

Francis, who is currently assigned to administrative duties, said smoking marijuana has no negative effect on his ability to be a police officer and that he intends to continue smoking on the job.
