Since those are to totally different aircraft in regards to performance and intended operation probably no.

I'm not sure you understood what I meant - I'm not comparing the 787 with the 737. What I meant was that AC was one of the first customers in line to have the 787 delivered but they were forced to cancel the order. The order books are quite full with the 787 so maybe Boeing came in and told AC they could get their 787s earlier if they were to buy the 737 as well. Its common practice for a manufacturer to give very good discounts on one type of aircraft if an airline buys another type of aircraft.
