Where are all the malls getting their power from?
Maybe they could be set up for people to keep warm there overnight? Lots of old folks will be finding staying warm quite difficult after 5 days without electricity.

Most malls have backup generators and depending on the area, hydro may have already restored power. There are about 54K still without power. There are a few buildings without power but it's mostly down to individual households. Hydro has asked people with power to leave their porch light on so they know they don't have to work on that property.
As for people keeping warm, at least 18 community centres along with community rooms in 13 police stations have been open to the public 24/7 since the power outage for people to keep warm, get food, have a shower and a cot for the night. Government buildings are also setup for daytime visits.
