I don't know, people in Uganda are on a diet and walk everywhere. They don't look very healthy.

Looks can be deceiving. As long as the Ugandan is getting property nutrition, and he's not overly stressed or suffering from a disease, he will be healthy. Either way, it doesn't matter how healthy you are, you will sag as you get older. That' just part of life.

On TV, the other day, this guru, said people should be not concentrating on Fat content in food, but rather Sugar. I believe Sugar is at the for front for this obesity.

Pop, should get the grief, just like cigarettes in my opinion.

Lets see increase consumption of process foods & fast food with a decrease of outside activities = most likely reason for obesity rate to increase.

Answer decrease the crappy food and increase outdoor activities = reversal of obesity rates

just that simple

But why has the obesity rate tripled in the last thirty years?

Either people are doing less exercise than before and are more lazy, or the food is more crap.

I think the food is more crap. People are probably doing more exercise now than before.

I think it would have something to do with the food. People are probably more aware of exercise, so you think generally more people would get out more and exercise as opposed to 30 years ago.

True. Not to mention that the half and half stuff takes milk, and who in their right mind would put that watered down crap in their coffee!
