You're questioning why employees are suspended pending the results of an investigation? So that when they do get fired, the person cannot sue and get their job back.
Come quickly Jesus, we're barely holding on.

Not at all, investigation should be very short i.e video speaks volumes.
Hopefully no ones property/items in those bags was not damaged.

Unions are there to ensure that EMPLOYERS treat the EMPLOYEES properly. If an EMPLOYER finds that an EMPLOYEE acted in bad faith and the subsequent investigation proves that fact, a UNION cannot prevent an EMPLOYER terminating an EMPLOYEE.
The video shown seems to provide prima facie evidence that the employee(s) acted inappropriately; however, has management set out rules to show that the employees' actions contravened management policy?
Not yet. And if management did not set out these 'rules' there is nothing culpable in the employee(s) actions.

Re: Air Canada Luggage toss
how would it suit you if it was a two way street and had the employees treat employers properly, why is it only in your mind unions are always right- they are not.

You mean the union the Feds forced back to work when they were excersing their LEGAL right to strike? How about this instead, since that aborted strike the CEO of Air Canada has seen his wage and bonus package go from 4.5 million to over 7 million. Yeah, unions are the real evil, he says reeking of sarcasm.

Let's just put all the union stuff aside and agree that we all hate Air Canada.
