Okay, we’ve taken a quick comparison look between our group letter above and the overhaul document. Have a go for yourselves if you like.

So, the good news to us is it looks like the Harper Government has addressed many of the concerns the Castanet group expressed.

But then, the bad news for us (as in our OP here) is that even though it looks like under the International Mobility Program the ratio of Americans working in Canada to Canadian’s working in the United States is 1 to 3 (pg. 27), jobs that Canadian’s might be able to fill at home could still go to foreign workers in the Government’s ‘economic and labour market interests’ rather than the job seeking public’s interest without adequate scrutiny and feedback from Canadian’s looking for work.

Again, we would ask the Governments for better clarity and communication on this issue.

Also, we have one more immediate criticism. So here goes. Back when all the TFW controversy was going on, we actually did write a letter to the Harper Government to express our concerns about the program. What we got back was basically a form letter from a high ranking silly servant telling us how great the Harper Government was, and how they were having a look into the matter.

Now some of you may have noticed when we complained on this forum before about the difficulties we experience in navigating the Harper Government’s website to find information that we would like to have. And one of our favorite books is, Everything Is Obvious: once you know the answer—by: Duncan J. Watts . But we found searching for the document we posted above, (sans cover page on the PDF we downloaded), was a real chore for us (although maybe it wouldn’t be for other people). So, LOL, maybe as an 'earn while you learn' project Microsoft Vancouver could upgrade or train-up a bunch of us old-fart Canadians and get us a contract to revamp the Government system . . ..

No, actually, our serious gripe is: Because we contacted the Harper Government and expressed our specific interest in seeing some reforms to TWF program, complete with leaving them our e-mail address, why wasn’t the overhaul document sent out to us as a follow up to our first inquiry, as well as as a follow up to the ‘look in’ they promised us in their reply?
