So in other words, shot down!

complaint tossed

rejects professors' complaint

university’s dismissal of complaint

The staffers overstepped their own department heads and tried to involve themselves in something their employer was dealing with, and they were well aware of it. All it said was "we do not agree with how you are dealing with this".

In one way they were trying at least to bring this out of a one faculty complaint. But there is a task force now, or soon to be, and it will be up to them. Hopefully they will look at the big picture and not at the emotional moment.

Just as I was thinking you were actually finally taking the time to educate yourself on this matter, I saw this decision and started doing the countdown to your mandatory response.

Actually, if you would take the time to read the Acting Vice Provost's reply, it was a simple matter of the faculty standards committee review taking precedence over the code of conduct violation that the faculty applied under. Furthermore, the complaint was "unarguably compliant" when submitted, but since the university decided to pursue the investigation under the faculty of dentistry, it was no longer compliant at that time.

The professors submitted their complaint to ensure that the affected women did not have to be identified and their actions assisted in getting a response and achieving that aim. To comment that this is a "career defining moment" is a bit bizarre but is consistent with your feeling that a complaint would be negative on a career, but the initial actions by these men should not affect their future careers.

Once again, I commend you for your wonderful consistency with your defence of all sorts of socially deviant behaviour. Way to go!

Bull tweet but you believe what you want, you listen to everything and anything you want but in the end ...
the complaint(s) were tossed and those that complained are in for a rude awakening career wise.... they openly bucked the system and overstepped their authorities going above the faculty head.... that is a real stupid move in that environment!
I could careless about the names of any of those involved male or female ... but if they name the males then absolutely they have to name the females and if it goes to a formal complaint process by any of them, which it still could, rather than the internal restorative justice route (or in addition to even) then the names will be publicly available if by no other means than a FOI request!

this event which in my opinion is a non event has been blowen out of proportion by a minority of men bashing women libers
group. this situation is just all too typical of our new coming left leaning socialistic tending society

This event, as you call it, has been going on for decades in one way or another. It is nothing new and quite frankly it will never end. Be it men dishing women, women dishing men, men dishing men, women dishing women... you name it - it goes on everyday in many forms, verbal, written, drawn...
What it boils down to is a very bent way some folks think they are making light of things. Done more than once, grouping up and escalating things is nothing less than bullying but folks really have to get back to reality and remember the old rhyme "sticks and stones".
