Threatening to shut down newspapers based on a unfavourable editorial is stifling free speech. What a treasonous thing to say on behalf of your stock portfolio.

Politely asking a business to refrain from showing corporate propaganda is part of free speech. They could have exercised their free speech rights and decided to play the commercials after all.

I will remind you that a copy of the email I sent Landmark Cinemas is posted here on the forums. No threats, just a summation of Enbridges attempt to subvert democracy by threatening to shut down a newspaper.

I hardly think any of the grass roots folks signed that online petition and apparently many if not most of those 30 thousand were the same occupy organizers, the same liars that cried foul on the robo-call so called scandal -- activists funded by anti-oil organizations out of the U.S. that originally made their money off of oil.

Many grandfathers and fathers worked in the oil industry, I have family members that work in the oil industry, it makes me sick to listen to a bunch of liberal panty-waists *bleep* and complain about the very thing that gives them a standard of living they enjoy.

It is not Enbridge that is spitting in our faces it's people like you who are like the child that kills their parents then cries because they've become orphaned.

So stop being such a hippocrate and lead by example. . . put on your hand-made hemp shirt and start riding your bamboo bike to Starbucks, and get rid of everything in your life that uses or is made with petroleum.

10 out of 10!!! BAZINGA!!!!

I would bet a lot of money that out of those "30,000" losers that signed that petition, there were perhaps 1,500 actual people signing in with different IP addresses, and more than half of them weren't even Canadians. Online petitions are worth the paper they are printed on - which is zero.

A bunch of pro oil people should stand on the overpass and protest. This is a outrage. Enbridge should have the right to try and shut down newspapers and buy options with unaccountable facts while smashing anyone with a different view. Enbridge should be able to buy governments and then get them to label people who question their business practices as terrorists!

Firstly, they have jobs unlike the anti-oil people, so they don't have time. Second - what the hell gives any "anti-oil" types the right to be fascists and tell others what they can and can't advertise in their stores or movie theatres? Shame on you!

If you want coffee...then go anywhere than Tim Hortons. Alot of people have said Mcdonalds is better but then again I hear their coffee at mcdonalds used to be the coffee distributor that sent to Tim hortons. Tim Hortons now roast their own "coffee" in house at the ware house from wherever they are from.

Some even have said because of the cutting corners that Timmies is doing is starting to be a coffee into a Coffee drink...

I know its a forum and like this forum...anyone can say anything. but I find it pretty bang on what that guy says about Tim Hortons Coffee. Do yourself a favor and drink something better.

I always thought that anti-oil types were leftists and socialists. Now they're fascists. Are they working both sides of the political spectrum at the same time? What gives with these people? Do they have any beliefs? They're basically an unelectable bunch.

He voiced his opinion. The theater wasn't obligated to do anything. You have no clue what 'fascism' means. It's just an other buzzword for the Ezra Levant crowd.

The soft, hypocritical underbelly of the left is so easy to expose.

The theater was free to continue running the ads. You also seem to have issues understanding what 'Free Speech' means lol.

Leftist kooks threatening businesses are sometimes placated, as in this case, because the losers have nothing better to do than make a business' life hell. It's not like any of them have real jobs that they have to show up for.

Threats are not what I consider to be "free speech." But if they further the goals of leftist morons, apparently your conscience can justify them irrespective of the circumstances.
