Toronto looking to bid on Summer Olympics

Post by GordonH »

Knowing many years it took Montreal to finally pay off the 1976 games, which happened in 2006. Those games was not as costly as they are today.
IMHO it is foolish to go after the summer games, taxpayers will be paying for it for decades to come. Winter games are nowhere near as expensive to do, but still very high cost.

Think twice before jumping into that expense

Right choice was made and it saved taxpayers 60 million just on the bid.
