Sexual assualts occur no matter what political ideology they follow. Ghomeshi didn't sexual assault these women because he was left wing, he did it because he is a pathetic person.

while usually being left wing and being a pathetic person go hand in hand, that's not why I was bringing up the CBC connection. The CBC knew about Ghomeshi's tendencies and were told of several incidents and it sounds like they let it slide and did nothing. If this is true, it sure looks bad on that sanctimonious state network.

First witness:
She said she felt safe with Ghomeshi, which was reinforced by the car he drove, a yellow Volkswagen Beetle, she told court.

"He's driving a car that reminds me of a 1960's Disney movie," she said. "So I'm feeling very safe at the moment, when I'm with him."

She said they were on his couch, kissing and then they stood up and continued kissing. She said that's when Ghomeshi went behind her, pulled her hair, pulled her to her knees, and then punched her in the right side of her head.

"He went from being really nice, to this rage. Dark."

She said she wasn't sure if he used a closed or open fist, but that it felt like a closed fist.

"He pulls my head down and at the same time he's punching me in the head, multiple times," the woman, whose identity is protected under a publication ban, said in Ontario Court in Toronto.

"I'm terrified. I don't know why he's doing this, I don't know if he's going to stop. Can I take this pain? And my ears are ringing and I felt like I was going to faint, I'm going to end up passed out on his floor. And I start to cry."

"After I start crying, Jian says, 'You should go now' or 'You better go now, I'll call you a cab,'" the witness said.
"He didn't apologize, he didn't ask if I was OK. He threw me out like trash."

She said she waited inside his home for about 10 minutes for the cab, and then went to her friend's house.

Crown attorney Michael Callaghan asked the woman if there had been any prior discussion about Ghomeshi hitting her.

"Absolutely no discussion," she said.

Perhaps Justin should testify as a character witness for his old friend Ghomeshi. After all, the Liberals are all standing behind accused child molester Hawkes, so what's really different about their old CBC buddy Jian?

Victim one : lied to police and sent bikini pics and emails to Gian after the fact.

Victim two : lied to police and cuddled, kissed, hung out and sent emails looking for sex from Gian after the fact.

It's one thing to get behind microphones in a feminist-biased media and accuse people of crimes. Posters here are already trying to slander the Prime MInister by association to the already-publically-convicted ex-CBC host. It's a whole other story when the facts get examined in court, as we are quickly finding out

Henein produced an email in court Friday that DeCoutere sent Ghomeshi on July 5, 2003, a day after the alleged assault. It read: “You kicked my *bleep* last night and that makes me want to f--- your brain out. Tonight.

In another email sent on July 17, 2003, 13 days after the alleged assault, DeCoutere wrote to Ghomeshi: “I think you are magic and would love to see you.”

Don't get me wrong, I think Gian is a creep and I think he gives the kink community a bad name. Being a creep isn't illegal.

Lucy really dropped the ball. Not only has she said to the media that the reason she didnt report the alleged assault earlier because it would endanger her career (her career is more important that saving more women from being attacked by the same guy?) and now it seems she "left out" all the details of her after the fact behaviour, like complimenting Gian for roughing her up and how it turned her on.

What the hell are you talking about? Slander by association? They obviously knew each other. How is this any different than the complete dumb-dumb anti-Harperites who were "slandering the Prime Minister by association" when it was Stephen Harper's friend who was accused of doing bad things? Where were you????? Where was the outrage????? Oh the hypocrisy.

I didnt care that Stephen Harper's band-mate was a pedo, how would he know? The CPC party vetted anyone that got close to him and I assume CSIS as well so obviously it was well-hidden. Just like how would JT know that Canada's biggest radio DJ pesay completely lacked normal and functional social skills and sexual interaction protocol?

I was saying how not only was Ghomeshi already guilty in the eyes of the media and many in the public, but people were taking that to the next level by saying JT was somehow lesser because of association. Turns out as per the court stuff in the last few days that Ghomeshi may not be as guilty as thought.

Not only was he guilty before tried in court, but those associated with him were too. Two tiers deep. That's all. I'm not saying he's innocent either but just that the evidence submitted so far is contrary to the very strong public opinion out there.

What I want to know is, when is Big Ears Teddy going to take the witness stand? He will claim his back was turned the whole time probably.
But seriously, I'm glad that smug pompous no- talent, tone deaf socialist buttwipe has finally been exposed for what he is. I hate that the CBC claims to be an equal opportunity, equalitarian organization. Yet they allowed this guy to abuse female staff constantly, because he brought in high ratings.

No matter what political party an organization falls under, I guess business is business.

It is very unfortunate that CBC had reports of abuse from Jian Ghomeshi and did nothing about it. But I am glad he is finally having to deal with the consequences.

No matter what anyone thinks of the guy and he is probably not an upstanding character, when it comes to his alleged treatment of women in the workplace his superiors at CBC should have been aware of it and acted on it much earlier if it was obvious.

Nevertheless, have issues with a woman like first accuser who accuses a man of abuse, is free to go on her way and yet continues to encourage contact with the 'abuser' after the alleged incidence. Sorry but this puts her credibility into question no matter what spin anyone wants to put on it.

I, too, am happy he's being exposed. But like was stated above, when you're dealing with women who clearly went back for more, saying that his actions made them want to f--- his brains out, " I love your hands", etc etc, it sounds like someone was enjoying the abuse through some sick fantasy of their own, and not a crime against them.
If 2 people engage in weird sex with slapping/choking, (like we all know there is a such thing), is it a crime when you agree to the doing these things with another person? If you partake, you lose your own credibility trying to sit on a witness stand in a court of law and portray yourself as a victim when you have damning cross examining dirt on your hands.
You want a conviction? Find some women who wanted no part of it...you know....a true victim, not someone who clearly enjoyed the games played by this sick SOB.

Lucy's testimony and the fact she forgot about hand written love letters after the fact that praise his "hands" may have opened the door for reasonable doubt.

If that was the sum total of the evidence I would agree with you but since I am not aware of what other evidence has been given or remains to be given I can not say, at this point in time, whether I agree with you or not.

I was surprised and disappointed when this whole mess hit the media. I had enjoyed Ghomeshi's show on the radio immensely and felt that we had a talent in the morning slot the likes of which we hadn't seen since the Gzowski days. Ghomeshi had a way of eliciting some depth from his guests that could only be achieved through a high degree of sensitivity. I admired him for his ability to keep an air of friendly composure about himself even when faced with difficult guests. But we all have our secrets, and secrets can be a doubly dangerous thing when you are in the public eye.

I can only hope that the judge knows his stuff, and is able to cut through the lawyering to get at the truth, and see that justice prevails.

It's worthy of mention that so many have already reached their own verdict while the case is still before the courts, needless to say no matter what the judge finds, Ghomeshi's future will not be an enviable one.
