Re: Alleged former RCMP agent suing the force
Dollars to doughnuts [no pun intended], this so called agent stepped outside of the boundaries of conduct/actions that were a part of his agreement when he became an agent for the RCMP. Perhaps he went beyond the direction he was provided by the person controlling him, to the extent that all of the evidence gathered was contaminated to the point where it was useless for prosecution. If any of this occurred, the RCMP would be irresponsible to follow through with the agreed upon "bulk" payment as suggested in this article. As a taxpayer, I would be totally *bleep* if they did put out big dollars to someone who caused an expensive investigation to go down the tubes. If this is the way it all went down, then the final bit of direction that he ought to have gotten from the Mounties should have been: "Get on your pony and ride.. dirt bag".

You may find also that the information provided was false after further investigation. There are times where sources are cut loose as it is found that they are too drugged up to be used as a reliable witness or agent. It may also be that they had lost their cover and the agent's safety came into question so the connection had to be cut.
Many factors and good luck in the law suit. The guy/gal watches too much TV.
