The focus always seems to go back to the treaties, but as the treaties didn't include things like dental care, hospitals, appliances, electronics, automobiles, modern medicine, etc. should we get compensation for their use... or how about call it Even Steven and everyone is equal?

well you can dream but that is not they way this will play out . people can trace their family back to when the europeans that stayed in canada arrived . and thats the starting point the govt of canada and scoc decided is the right place to start

When did the first Europeans that stayed in Canada arrive according to your beliefs ?? Is that including the Vikings and the Norsemen? Does that also include subsequent North Eastern Europeans that came to Canada along the shore and across the land bridge from Russia ??

I wonder how much of the history claimed by you would stand up to comprehensible DNA testing ?? I would expect a 10 to 20% error rate.
