Abolish the CPP Entirely Before it Kills more Canadians

unconscionable? how so? the guy has available income so why would the tax payer foot this guys welfare bill totally when he has available income.I say it very reasonable to make him take CPP besides CPP at age 60 until age 75 is slightly more than CPP at age 65 till 75. SO taking cpp at age 60 he wont be loosing a dime till about age 76

If someone is on social assistance or PWD and are forced to take early CPP, the provincial government will top up the amount until age 65. When they reach 65, they get the OAS along with CPP plus the GIS depending on their income with the provincial government covering their drug costs.

Much better to take CPP as early as possible. Most people don't live long enough for it to make a difference.

Absolutely. Ponzi schemes work best for those who are able to cash in early. And besides, putting off collecting CPP to increase the monthly payout could result in a reduction in the GIS for those with low incomes.

I'm guessing that we will be seeing CPP deductions soar as it becomes clear that much more money is needed to keep up with payouts.
