Foreign frigates
The Trudeau government is soliciting proposals for building our new naval vessels. And it's looking more and more like they will outsource the building of these ships to foreign builders. Instead of hiring Canadian workers to build the ships, foreign workers will get the work.
Plus, as the Mulroneys, Harperites and BC Christie have shown, it's way better to have ships, planes, and ferries built somewhere else. Even the Vancouver Olympics got most of their supplies from a mystery supplier in China. A Canadian auditor can't look into the books offshore. This allows certain "payments" and "fees" to be paid into Swiss bank accounts that are merely numbered and without a name attached. And nobody can trace where the money went. If it was all Canadian, an auditor could snoop through the entire paper trail. Sure, it opens the door for corruption, but why take on the job of government without earning some "bonus" money?

LOL - I notice that you conveniently neglected to mention that the Clarkite NDP showed us just how dumb it was to try and build ferries in BC. Like beyond dumb. But of course, this is revisionist history so we can't mention the NDP screw-ups.
