Manitoba Premier & 2 Months in Costa Rica

I wonder if the Manitoba voters knew their Premier would spend two months every year in his vacation home in Costa Rica? That is the weirdest thing I ever heard of.

Can you imagine the outrage and the volume of the posts on here if he was a dirty leftist Liberal or a socialist NDPer? But he's a good solid Conservative, working remotely from an office in Costa Rica, so it's really not an issue for the party faithful. All he has to do is come in off the beach for a photo op a couple of times a month.

I agree that it is weird, but he has been doing this for years, even as leader of the Opposition. With technology now connecting everyone it's not as big a deal I guess. I wouldn't be over-joyed about this but then in Manitoba they could leave a trained monkey in charge of the government and it still would do a better job than the NDP was doing before they were punted out in 2016.
