CBC's urban Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver view of the world and Canada is just out of step with the reality of many if not most Canadians. From the perspective of the 'Elites,' Canada is a fractured 'post national' country with no core cultural identity to preserve or promote. CBC now serves as a conduit for the alienated to vent their contempt for what they see as the failings of "Mainstream Canada," ie., everyone else.
