Is Putin eyeing Canada up?
Castanet:
Russia buzzing our bases
"...Russia is using a post-Cold War agreement to conduct an aerial surveillance mission over Canadian military facilities this week, even as relations between the two countries remain frosty.
The five-day mission started Tuesday and involves an unarmed Russian aircraft flying to different parts of the country to take photos of Canadian Forces bases and other military installations.
...
National Defence spokesman Patricia Brunelle said in an email that the Canadian military will escort the Russians across the country to ensure they don't stray beyond what is allowed in the treaty.
Canadian personnel will be aboard the plane during actual observation flights to, in part, "monitor imaging equipment, ensure adherence to the agreed flight route and profile, and provide oversight, guidance and assistance." "

Would so rather be over educated that a knuckle dragging Neanderthal bereft of critical thought and imagination. Although in the case of Neanderthals, that's quite the insult.

Didn't know such an agreement existed. Interesting.
Why they're worried about us I'm not sure. We both love hockey and drinking, and we share polar bears and arctic tundra, .... What the hell Russia?
Oh I get it, they're worried about pot smuggling via snow machine

Re: Is Putin eyeing Canada up?
This is routine. The flyovers and "buzzing" by each other's aircraft have been happening since the end of the Cold War. As mentioned in the article. There are issues with Russia but this isn't one of them. They're pretend puffing their chest at the US. It's showmanship to pretend there's no deals happening. ExxonMobil asked for an exemption to sanctions yesterday to make a huge Russia deal. I'm sure former ExxonMobil CEO and current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has nothing to do with that though. Payday's coming soon to the world players.
