The Liberal government's decision to remove the visa needed for visitors to Canada from Mexico is making it easier for criminals to enter the country.

According to figures from the Canada Border Services Agency obtained by Global News, the number of Mexican citizens with a criminal background or security risk increased since Justin Trudeau relaxed the visa requirement on Dec. 1, 2016.

In the first six months of this year, 65 Mexicans involved in "serious" crimes were identified, more than the 53 in 2016 and 28 the year before.

In addition, 15 Mexicans were tagged for national security reasons, more than the last two years combined.

"These individuals were drug smugglers, human smugglers, recruiters, money launderers and foot soldiers," the CBSA wrote in an intelligence report dated April 2016, two months before the visa exemption was announced.

Officials also wrote that associates of various drug cartels and theft rings were already entering Canada and lifting the visa requirement would "facilitate travel to Canada by Mexicans with criminal records."

Trudeau made a 2015 federal election campaign promise to lift the visa requirement for people visiting from Mexico to "deepen ties" between the two countries.

Visas are still required for Mexicans to work and study in Canada.

Was the visa requirement dropped because Canadians do not need a visa to enter Mexico?
All our bad hombres and senoritas can travel down there, si?

Under the Conservative Government, did Visas become a requirement to keep out the cartels?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that visitors from Mexico would no longer need visas to enter Canada, border officials predicted the decision would make it easier for criminals to enter the country, newly released documents show.

In intelligence reports, officials wrote that associates of Mexican crime groups such as the ultraviolent Sinaloa cartel were already turning up in Canada and said lifting the visa requirement would “facilitate travel to Canada by Mexicans with criminal records.”

Just 0.25 per cent of the 156,000 Mexican nationals who entered Canada between 2012 and 2015 were implicated in crime, but the reports said 29 were linked to organized criminal groups, another eight had “possible links” and “likely more” had not been identified.

“These individuals were drug smugglers, human smugglers, recruiters, money launderers and foot soldiers,” the Canada Border Services Agency’s Intelligence Section wrote in a report dated April 2016, two months before Trudeau announced the visa exemption.
Since the government dropped the visa requirement on Dec. 1, 2016, the number of Mexican citizens the CBSA has reported for criminality and security has indeed increased, according to figures released by the agency this week.

Midway through 2017, the CBSA had already identified 65 Mexican nationals it said were involved in “serious” crimes. Last year’s figure was 53, and the year before it was 28. Another 15 Mexicans cited for national security reasons have been caught since the start of the year — more than the previous two years combined.

You really think the evil Mexican criminals are gonna take legal channels to enter Canada when they can just walk across the border undetected like other groups ?
We need far far more humans guarding our border.

Mexican criminals stage in Canada as they find it easier to foray into the US with our relaxed border.

Justin has stupidly dropped an important safeguard that even CBSA says is necessary, just because that safeguard was implemented by the Conservatives.

Justin's doing all he can to erase positive steps without consideration of the consequences, just so he can indoctrinate Canadians with the Liberal way.
