Dozens of MPs also collecting government pensions
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/mps-pay ... -1.4231986 refers.
There is an issue here? What is wrong with someone who served their country for 20 or 30 years in our military [or some other capacity] from wanting to further serve as a Member of Parliament? What kind of thinking would take issue with the fact they are being paid for their services as MP's while also drawing their hard earned pensions?

Re: Dozens of MPs also collecting government pensions
So you start working for the Federal government at age 25. At age 55 you have 30 years. You are eligible to retire and start collecting a pension of 30 years x 2% for every year of your final salary. Or 60%. And at age 55 you can go and work for a province, a private company, or whatever you want. Even as a contractor for the Feds. And build another pension, private or public, or as a contractor, pocket the whole thing.
There are many people in your community who are double dipping. There is no law against it. The door is open.
