i would suggest you and the other poster google it. metis and first nations are 2 different peoples and trying to lump them is ignorant of the facts . metis dont claim to be first nations . they have no status and werexnevercpromised status . but they were promised to be dealt with seperatly from status first nations and that was ruled on by scoc last year .
this article has zero to do with metis. its on first nation status natives . thats it

They really set up an architecture where we, as First Nations, are supposed to be thankful for this little first step of progress,” Blackstock said, citing 110-year-old documents that show a causal link between government intransigence and Indigenous child deaths.

This is all I was referring to
"Those claiming Metis heritage are behind the biggest chunk of growth, numbering 587,545 last year, an increase of 51.2 per cent since 2006, followed by First Nations at 977,230 people, a 39.3 per cent spike, and 65,025 Inuit, an increase of 29.1 per cent."
I'm fully aware of Métis.

They have been multiplying more rapidly for many years. Northern Saskatchewan when I was a kid, my mother nursed. For every one causation there was three Indigenous ( Indian children ) born.
Why do you think that is? Why has it always been that way?
