Motorcycles more injured than people in cars

Post by 69cutlass »

Wow.... Just wow.... did anyone read the new thing of castanet about motorcyclists being at a higher risk of being injured than people in a car. THIS IS NEWS? They did a study on it?. Who got paid for this study?. I'll save you money on the next one. Bicyclists get injured more than people in vehicles when they collide too.

Motorcylists are more likely to be injured in a crash than someone in a car? No $#!+.

Maybe if we all got on motorcycles we'd all pay attention to the road ... people in cars have a whole industry mandated to keep them safe through all sorts of materials and devices ... people on other modes of transport are expected to stay safe just by their wits while those in metal cocoons are whizzing around without a care in the world ...

No, not surprising what the study reports ... just gives a quantity to what is a common assumption ...

Anecdotally, insurance companies that raise their rates in response to private medical costs have already acted as a deterrent to motorcycle use.

Trying to find a way to reduce accidents, improve safety and lower costs might be a challenge but higher insurance costs will be a factor.
