Castanet's story is more demur, less sensationalist than the American version. A true mystery.
Until you read Fox news. Their milion dollar mansion was up for sale, they had people angry at being left out of the inheritance?

Foxnews has a lot to say about the latest grisley find of the billionaire couple found dead in their home.

A grisley riveting story for sure.

Murder-suicide is the working theory for police investigating death of billionaire and his wife.

<snip> Toronto police are probing the deaths of billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife with the theory that it was a murder-suicide, police sources confirm to the Star.

The bodies of Sherman, 75, and his wife Honey were found in their North York mansion just before noon Friday.

Officially, Toronto police have released little information about the deaths, beyond that they were deemed suspicious.

But police sources say police are now probing the deaths with the possibility that they were a murder-suicide. <snip>

As for the relatives suing Sherman for a portion of his fortune, they are out of luck.

Lawsuit seeking piece of Toronto billionaire Barry Sherman's fortune 'wishful thinking,' judge rules.

<snip> Billionaire Barry Sherman has come out victorious in a lawsuit brought by his cousins ( https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2017/0 ... rtune.html ), who argued he owed them a share of his interest in Apotex, the generic drug company he founded in 1974.

“The claimed interest in Apotex was wishful thinking, and beyond fanciful,” Superior Court Justice Kenneth Hood wrote in a decision released this month.

“Nothing can now change these findings of fact.” <snip>

Their immediate family is quite rightly outraged by the suggestion of a murder-suicide before the autopsy's are available.

And many are questioning it outright due to the couples involvement with friends, family and community. This is the sensational story of the decade.

Homicide investigators are taking the lead in the case of billionaire couple Barry and Honey Sherman, Toronto police announced Sunday.

Police say they both died from ligature neck compression.

More to come.

Cause of death released

Toronto Police have released the cause of death of billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife Honey, but remain tight-lipped about the circumstances.

Police issued a brief statement on Sunday saying the couple, whose bodies were found on Friday, both died from "ligature neck compression," but the department refused to comment further.

"That is what the post-mortem indicates and that is the terminology that they give us," Const. Michelle Flannery said when asked to elaborate on findings from autopsies performed over the weekend.

Police also said homicide detectives have taken the lead on investigating the deaths, which have been classified as "suspicious."

Toronto police believe Barry and Honey Sherman were victims of a targeted attack and are treating their deaths as murders, the lead investigator said Friday afternoon.

The Shermans were found dead in their North York home just before noon on Fri. Dec. 15. An autopsy concluded they died from “ligature compression.”

Det.-Sgt. Susan Gomes declined to discuss possible suspects or motives at a news conference, citing only “six weeks of investigation” as evidence. There was no sign of forced entry into their home.

“I believe they were targeted,” Gomes said. “We haven’t developed any suspects, outside of understanding that people are outstanding for — or a person is outstanding for — this offence.”

Judge greenlights lawsuit alleging Barry Sherman’s company stole rival’s trade secrets

A U.S. judge has refused to throw out a sensational lawsuit that accuses Barry Sherman’s drug company of using sex, lies and USB flash drives to illegally acquire valuable trade secrets from a rival pharmaceutical firm.

The ruling, released Tuesday, is the latest chapter in a bizarre legal saga that was thrust back into the spotlight last week amid news that Jeremy Desai—Sherman’s pick as president and CEO of Apotex Inc., and the man at the centre of the lawsuit—had suddenly resigned “to pursue other opportunities.” By chance, the company announced Desai’s abrupt departure just hours before Toronto police convened a press conference last Friday to reveal that Barry and Honey Sherman were indeed murdered, the victims of a “targeted” double homicide inside their north-end mansion.
