The officer works for the Rama Police Service which is run by the First Nation Community of Rama, Ontario. It is not the RCMP or the Ontario Provincial Police responsible for the corrective action taken.
The officer may have certainly been out of line and assaulted the child. It is also possible that there is more to the story and the child's version may not include the officer's or witnesses' perspectives.
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

The Rama Police officer is on restricted duties so it really doesn't matter if he is suspended at home or at a desk job.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

If mom had taught her kid to behave, none of this would have happened.

“The woman found a red spot on the back of her son's head and took him to the hospital. A doctor there told her her son had a concussion, she said.”

I wonder if he got the red spot from her smacking him upside the head when they got home.

The response from this cop seems extreme, if that’s the real story. How did it escalate so fast?
