From the link provided again:
This month, the average daily pool price has been floating between $19 to $24 a megawatt hour. That’s up slightly from the $18.28/MWh average pool price in 2016.

Where in that link is there any mention of "the top 3", top 5, or top 10?

Woo Hoo! Go fossil fuels

Andrew Leach, who teaches energy and environmental economics at the University of Alberta’s School of Business, says the first factor keeping down electricity prices remains the low price of natural gas. Alberta has a natural gas surplus, with no easy way to ship the commodity to other markets. So with our cheap gas largely shut in, gas-fired power plants have ample cheap fuel.

Nice to see that Ontario is quite a bit higher in hydro prices with all their windy turny things

I'd also like to see the list of North American cities they compared. Did it even contain Vancouver or anything in BC. Is it kind of like most of the wind, solar garbage that avoids comparing to hydro production at all costs.

yes cheap gas is a great thing for everyone, including the environment, as natural gas contains almost zero pollutants. Heating the house with it right now in fact, and staying nice and toasty (at a pretty cheap cost, other than the stupid idiotic carbon tax that I get charged, for no reason whatsoever).

Betcha folks in Ontario are wishing that they stayed away from stupid kiddie toy wind power and built the natural gas plants.

Because Alberta uses Natural Gas powered generation. They have an abundance of cheap NG and is using it to make electricity. Did you not read your own link?

Wow!

Here is line that you need to read.

So with our cheap gas largely shut in, gas-fired power plants have ample cheap fuel.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Actually, most folks in Ontario had no say in their government's stupid decision to waste mega-billions on useless wind power. Other than that they voted in hapless Wynne and her gang of slime. And now with Wynne's mega-billion gamble to vote-buy with the huge hike in minimum wage, they may be trapped for another four years if they don't punt her and her gang of People out.

But yes, the people of Ontario deserve better. And it's going to get far worse before it gets better.
