No, it was because he was afraid of being charged down there.

He was actually "rescued" from "torture" for years and REFUSED to get on the plane, because it was going to the US.

I don't know about you, but if I am innocent and I've been tortured by terrorists... I am getting on a plane no matter what. There's no way you refuse to get outta there as fast as you can, unless you know the score.

But Boyle appeared Friday to dispute the claim that he turned down any transportation.

“I assure you I have never refused to board any mode of transportation that would bring me closer to home, closer to Canada and back with my family,” he said.

Really - my post was a liberal response? I didn't disclose my political stance and not often in political threads so didn't know that. I brought up Trump because he was in the article.

I am willing to bet its his wife ( and perhaps her family too) that are the complainants in this very smelly saga.

Seems plausible.

The Maclean’s article, which was based on a string of interviews in the days before Boyle’s arrest, revealed a concerning dynamic between Boyle and Coleman, saying “signs of Boyle’s controlling nature and distress were evident.”

“During interviews at the hotel, he refused to leave the room while Coleman spoke, at one point snapping at her when she responded to a follow-up question. ‘Check with me before you say any of that on the recording,’” the article said.

There is also an indepth exploration of Boyle's fawning admiration of Khadar Sr, marriage to his daughter, fast divorce and very quick remarriage and then the sudden trip/disappearance of both. He also has quite a history going from a strict Christian upbringing to Muslim, defending extremists and terrorists.

The article is in yesterdays Province. Could someone link it for me please (I use ipad, havent figured this out yet)
