When I was a kid we used to go to the Dad's Cookies plant at White City from time to time and buy bags of broken cookies. I think they were sold for pennies a bag.

are actually Bunny Hugs for the pull-over, and Kangaroo Jacket for the zip.
If memory serves has it's origins in Prince Albert.
Saskatoon was started as a Temperence Colony..Alcohol was the cause of societies ills.
So it was "dry"
My how times change.
Some more interesting reading and History.

The winter uniform we wore when I was in high school was a jean jacket over a kangaroo jacket. Could be 40 below and that's what we wore to school.

I've never set foot in Saskatchewan. Been as far as Cold Lake, AB, but not to SK. My Alberta friends make it look glam with their photography, maybe I should go this year?
I'm getting jealous with everyone's SK memories, "it was 30 below and that' was in the indoor outhouse."
I remember playing hockey on an outdoor rink when it was 45 below. The pucks were breaking on the goal posts.

See? I should make it to SK before Global Warming takes all the fun away.
I watch a fb group called Abandoned Saskatchewan, and believe me, all the old buidlings are disappearing fast. People are posting photos of what used to be there as opposed to now.
Esp small towns.

I love Saskatchewan. It’s my second home. Most of my relatives are there and I have lost track of how many times I’ve visited. Taking photos of the sunsets and touring the old family farms have always been my favourite prairie past times.
There’s an old bison jump in the Qu’Appelle Valley, not far from where my folks are. There’s also a movie set from a Western film that I forget the name of.
It’s a great place to be. Maybe it reminds my soul of the sorts of places my people originally came from.
Edit: Sounds better.

It’s too bad. Whenever I am over there, which is often enough, I take good pictures of old buildings and whatnot.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Yes, Cemeteries always outlast the people...
Buildings are not 100% gone, just down to a few, last time by there
was maybe half a dozen.
Only one house appeared lived in.
