The O&O Drive In, Saskatoon,
Think of it as an A&W for Ukranians.
Drive through Perogies, Cabbage Rolls and such
Also order on foot through the window and sit at one of the picnic tables.
Real milk and ice cream shakes.

Anyone remember "Dog 'n' Suds" on 8th st?

I think it arrived on the scene after KFC but perhaps before A & W, and long before MacDonalds.

I always dreamed of moving to Climax, Saskatchewan, just for the return address.

And, way back in the early 1960's the great radio reception (at night) to the USA channels where you could listen to jazz, early rock n roll, ....anything but the religious drivel or hockey was a welcome relief.

A lot of people tend to stereotype Saskatchewan as flat and featureless, but it's a safe bet that those who do have never actually been there. Do an image search on the Qu'Appelle Valley for starters. And this much is sure, they don't build sunsets anywhere else like they do on the prairies.

Lol. I remember working on a service rig at eagle lake. Someone pulled up. Said its coming boys. You have 10 minutes. We snugged up the guy lines. Prayed for our old rig and got out of there. Must have been 100km plus winds that hit us just as we were leaving.

May as well been a tornado.

And the first patch of asphalt was how many miles away ?

Nothing like trying to maneuver on wet, slimy gumbo, on a heavily crowned road.

Spend more time looking out the side windows than the windshield.
